TRANSCENDENCE - Shades of Theyyam is a 2D - Narrative driven adventure game, made over the course of three days for WTF x IGDC 2024 Game Jam.
The theme taken for this game jam is "Start with Nothing"
This is an experimental game set in war-torn North Malabar, where a cast-out Theyyam performer uncovers the hidden human nature of his deity, revealing rage and vulnerability beneath divine power. The decayed atmosphere mirrors his mental state.
As the protagonist’s bond with the deity deepens, the line
between human and divine blurs. This journey promises a profound
understanding of Theyyam and the struggles of its people, with many
secrets waiting to be uncovered in the upcoming acts of the game.

The game is improved and man i loved the story and sound design, it still gives me chills. Improve the game gameplay, take reference from ori and lmbo to make the background and foreground seprate from the character, and improve the animations of the character. The story part is absolutely awesome, improve the gameplay part. Love the game cant wait for more of the game!
